With nearly 20 years in marketing and digital sales, today she’s CMO at Dirac. But it’s her passion for equality and inclusion that led her to board work and to Pink Programming, Sweden’s largest community for women and non-binary programmers.
In this story, she shares how she found the right fit, how the deb. program prepared her, and why board work is both rewarding and energizing.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself and your background.
I have worked with strategic marketing, digital sales and brand equity for almost 20 years, today I work as CMO for Dirac, an Audio Tech company. New to Pink,
My strong belifs in equlity and diversity is what drives me professionally and the reason i started with board work.
Q: Which board have you joined, and what attracted you to this opportunity?

Pink Programming is Sweden's largest community for programmers who are women and non-binary. We support developers al ready workning in tach but also supprt companies in becoming more inclusive. I am a value driven person and Equality and inclusion is incredibly important to me. Pink makes a positivie impact in tech, and I think their work is inspriational. I wanted to support their work.

Q: How was the recruitment process?
It was really smooth and professional.
Q: Did you use any insights from deb. in the process? If so, which ones?
In deb, the highlight alot you should push on your strategic contributions, rather than operational, so that is what i do in all board interviews.
Q: What will be your main contribution to the board?
My background in marketing and digital sales but also my network in this industry. I have a nack for scaling brandds and accelerating their growth journeys - I look forward to doing that for pink.
Q: What are your biggest achievements or challenges as a board member so far?
Like workplaces no board is like the other. I love the dynamics of boardwork, getting insights into different industries and ways to work, I always learn new ways to apply my experience and skills.
Q: What change or impact do you hope to bring to this board?

Q: What do you wish you had known before joining a board?
n/a - I got everything I needed from the deb programme. It prepared me extraordinarily well and I have never felt I lacked anything. Sometimes you may need a refresh on specific topics, but then I have my notes and/or our network to turn to.
Q: What is the best part of being on a board?
Same as above - the dynamic environment, learning and understanding different industries, teams, ways of working. It is incredibly rewarding and fun.
Q: What is your favorite professional tip?
Never give up. Every no gets you closer to a yes.
Q: What is the most valuable thing you’ve taken from the deb. program?
The network - the positivity and pepp we give and each of us get from each other. It is incredible.
