Success Story - Truckzter Welcomes Camilla Wallin as New Chairperson.

Truckzter, an innovative platform for low-emission road transport, has experienced impressive growth since its establishment in 2021, with a 200% increase in turnover and a significant reduction in transport emissions by over a third this year alone. As part of its commitment to accelerating growth and enhancing its digital product development, Truckzter prioritized the recruitment of an independent Chair for its board. The goal was to bring in diverse and complementary expertise to challenge existing strategies and strengthen the company’s mission to revolutionize sustainable logistics.

Discussing the process, Per Arenö and Fredrik Regin of Truckzter highlight the importance of flexibility and trust in finding the right candidate. “A board without the ability to address challenges from new perspectives will not contribute much” they note. Being introduced to deb. through their incubator Inkubera, they saw an opportunity to reach out to more and better potential candidates in their recruitment process. Camilla Wallin was one of them, a deb. program alumni. 

Together with Camilla, the team is now ready to tackle the challenges ahead, ensuring smarter, more resource-efficient transport solutions for a sustainable future.

We asked Camilla to reflect on the beginning of this exciting journey:

Q: Camilla, please give us a short introduction to yourself?

I am an experienced executive leader with an entrepreneurial spirit. I have deep expertise in B2B sales and organic profitable growth, tech and business development. I have worked in various industries, both national and globally and is on a daily basis a CEO in an Ed-tech group. 


Q: Tell us more about the board that you have taken place in?

Truckzter has an amazing board and I feel it is a great privilege to chair it. Truckzter is revolutionizing the logistics industry with its mission to develop tomorrow's sustainable transport solutions. Founded in 2018, the company leverages innovative digital technology to optimize collaboration and transparency across the value chain. Truckzter's platform addresses key challenges such as seasonal demand fluctuations, low load utilization, and high transport costs. By enabling efficient resource use, cost savings, and climate-friendly transport alternatives, Truckzter empowers customers to achieve sustainability goals, improve delivery quality, and enhance profitability in a flexible and dynamic market. With a vision of smarter, more resource-efficient transport, Truckzter is shaping the future of sustainable logistics.

The board consists of a fantastic team with members with competence within both Logistics, Sustainability and Product. The board has deep knowledge and extensive expertise from this industry and I complement the board with experience and knowledge from other industries and subjects which will help us grow with profitability and continue to stay customer obsessed.


Q: What will be your primary contribution to their board?

My primary contribution to Truckzter will be my experience from B2B sales and business development but also "customer obsession" mindset. My ambition is to bring new and other perspectives and consistently share my enthusiasm, clarity, and a passion for growth to every part of this journey.


Q: How has the recruitment process been?

The recruitment process was thorough and professional, with several important steps and interviews to ensure that both parties felt it was the right fit. After the final step and a site visit, everything seemed to fall into place, and it became clear for both of us that starting a collaboration was the natural choice.


Q: Finally, please share your favorite professional tip? 

Make sure to ensure clarity of vision, alignment across the organization, and fostering a culture where every team member feels empowered to contribute. Challenges are inevitable, but they also present opportunities for growth - embrace them with curiosity and a mindset of continuous learning.  And while business acumen and strategic vision are essential, true effectiveness in the boardroom emerges when we prioritize getting to know the people behind the positions.
