Sofia Person Björk, a distinguished member of the 22/23 cohort of deb., has spent the past year serving as a board member and chairperson for Svensk Elektronik. Recently, she shared her insights and experiences with us, shedding light on her journey and her new responsibilities.

Q: Give us a short introduction to yourself.

I give energy, inspire, and engage others in a natural and down-to-earth way, even though I enjoy spending time in high mountains. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and over 20 years of experience in technical product development, management, operations, industrialization, and B2B sales in high-tech solutions. I firmly believe that nothing endures but change!

Q: Tell us more about Svensk Elektronik.

Svensk Elektronik is Sweden’s leading association for manufacturers, developers, and suppliers in electronics. We form the industry’s most important network for collaboration and business. Svensk Elektronik creates value through networks, knowledge exchange, collaboration, and commitment to the industry's key issues. We also organize seminars, training courses, and trade shows.

Q: Why did you take this seat?

I strongly believe that I can contribute to the organization and its success. Additionally, I felt that this was the right time in my life and, even more importantly, I saw an opportunity to learn and develop alongside the amazing and skilled people already on the board.

Q: What will be your primary contribution to their boards?

I have the ability to drive innovations and change, plus I bring a large network to the table.

Q: What change do you want to make by sitting on this board?

I aim to ensure that Sweden is the go-to country for sustainable electronics and to preserve and strengthen the global reputation of the Swedish electronics industry.
